WOULD YOUR STUDENT LIKE TO LEARN TO PLAY A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT?
THE 2011 “INTRODUCTION TO BAND” SUMMER CAMPS at
THE WOODLANDS/OAK RIDGE: June 13th – 17th, 2011 at Oak Ridge Christian Academy- 27420 Robinson Road – Oak Ridge, TX 77385 from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. The camp will be held for 2 hours each day with a 10 minute break included in the 2 hours.
Or CYPRESS: June 6th -10th , 2011 at Covenant Academy- 11711 Telge Road – Cypress, TX 77429 from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. The camp will be held for 2 hours each day with a 10 minute break included in the 2 hours.
Or SUGARLAND: June 13th – 17th , 2011 at Cornerstone Christian Academy (First Colony Church of Christ) 2140 First Colony Blvd.- Sugar Land, TX 77479 from 3:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. The camp will be held for 2 hours each day with a 10 minute break included in the 2 hours.
Mr. Paul Sommer, director of Instruments of Praise will be introducing various instruments at the camp. There will instruments for you to try so you can discover which instrument you will want to learn to play. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! The instruments that will be at the camp will be a FLUTE, TRUMPET, ALTO SAX, TROMBONE, CLARINET and PIANO/KEYBOARD, and BELL KIT (Percussion). The student will learn about each beginner band instrument and will learn some basic music theory. Fun musical games will be played and interesting videos on various instruments will be shown! The cost of each camp is $100 per student. All students must be 9 years old or older. Your student does not need to bring an instrument unless he has one already!
THE 2011 INTERMEDIATE SUMMER BAND CAMP at
THE WOODLANDS/OAK RIDGE: June 6th – 10th , 2011 at Oak Ridge Christian Academy- 27420 Robinson Road – Oak Ridge, TX 77385 from 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. The camp will be held for 2 hours each day with a 10 minute break included in the 2 hours.
Join other band students who have played their band instruments for one or two years. Students will learn songs and music theory along with fun musical games. The cost of each camp is $100 per student. Students need to bring their instruments and a music stand.
